  An e-mail sent out by Ross to specially selected members of the Suncoast Society munch group:

  Dear Friends,

  Lucas, Leigh, and Nick would like to invite you and your significant and non-significant others to a baby shower and sexy summer pool party and barbecue at their home. They’re more interested in your presence than your presents, so they’ve requested that if you insist on a gift, you instead make a donation to a charity of your choosing. If you aren’t sure of a charity, you can make a donation to the local Hospice in memory of Kaden Erikkson.

  Privacy Warning: Under NO circumstances may you discuss this party with others. If you wish to bring someone not on the list, please contact me FIRST before talking with them. This is non-negotiable, and violating this rule absolutely will get you uninvited to all future events.

  Dress up (or down!) for a sexy afternoon and evening of fun in the sun. Tilly and Loren have been busy cooking up some baby shower games to spice up the evening. (I’m not allowed to reveal exactly what those games are, but if you were there for the “diving for dildoes” Halloween contest, you know what those two are capable of.)

  The event takes place Saturday, June 17th. RSVP to Ross BEFORE Monday, June 12th. Directions and gate access code will be sent the next day to those who RSVP.

  Arrive after 5:00 p.m.

  Dinner will be at 7:00 p.m.

  Stay and play until ???

  There is a heated pool and a hot tub. If you’d like to use them, bring a towel and a bathing suit. The towel is mandatory, but the suit is optional.

  Please
bring a side dish to share, and beverages of your choice. There will be a main barbecue dish provided (beef and chicken).

  HOUSE RULES:

  1) Please arrive in non-fetish attire. The neighbors are very vanilla and we do not want to upset their peaceful world.

  2) Dress for a sexy barbecue and if you want to change (or strip) after dark for sexy play, that’s okay, too.

  3) Absolutely no uninvited guests, and please don’t talk about the party to anyone not on the guest list. Our hosts have a special need for privacy, and violating this rule will get you uninvited to future events.

  4) NO drugs. No smoking inside (outside on lanai ONLY in designated area).

  5) Alcohol is allowed, but you must bring your own and play responsibly.

  6) Please leave the parking spaces closest to the house free for people bringing play furniture. If you wish to bring play furniture, please coordinate with Ross, Seth, or Tony.

  Chapter Two

  Lucas tried not to laugh at his wife and slave as he watched her mental checklists rolling through her brain. He’d been first her friend and roommate for so many years, he could practically decipher her thoughts without assistance.

  “Do you think we have enough ice?” Leigh stared at the two large coolers tucked along the wall in the shade of their lanai. “Tilly, Landry, and Cris are on their way. We can ask them to pick up some more.”

  It looked like they were going to escape any late-afternoon summer thunderstorms today, fortunately. June afternoons in Florida could be dicey when planning outdoor events, but the weather spirits were on their side today. It was warm, of course, and a little on the muggy side, but nothing unusual for Florida this time of year. There was enough of a breeze, combined with the ceiling fans on the lanai, to keep it comfortable outside.

  “We already have enough to trigger an ice age,” Lucas assured her, amused. “You need to quit worrying. Didn’t we sufficiently fuck your brains out earlier today to derail your train of thought for the evening?”

  “Technically,” she said, “I think it was breaking in the new Sybian that fucked my brains out. You two only earned the assist, mister.” They’d purchased two of the machines. One for their personal use, and one to put out at parties, like tonight.

  Wasn’t like they couldn’t afford it. Nick had just signed a contract for another installment in the spy-movie franchise he starred in, which would net him over ten million dollars initially, not counting his profit percentage and the other residuals that would trickle in over the years.

  Lucas mentally corrected himself. It was Trevor Nichols who’d signed the contract. Well, that’s what the press had reported, even if it was Nicholas Trevorsky’s legal name etched on the dotted line.

  And the press didn’t know that Nicholas Trevorsky was Lucas’ collared slave. He and Leigh and Nick went through great lengths to keep them from finding out, too.

  Nick reached out and lightly slapped Leigh’s ass. “Didn’t hear you complaining when I was reaming your ass at the same time.”

  “That wasn’t a complaint,” she said. “Just an observation.”

  Lucas pulled her into his arms. “Look, my dear, little slut. Who’s the Master?”

  She snuggled closer in his arms. “You are, Sir.”

  “Alrighty, then. Master says you turn that beautiful brain of yours off for the evening. Tonight’s party is about fun, not work, not worrying.” Lucas literally had to pull her iPad out of her hands earlier when he and Nick caught her going through work e-mails.

  Yes, they were busy. Incredibly so. But tonight was strictly about fun, about spending time with their friends, and work was forbidden. It was difficult enough to schedule time to get together with their friends, and Lucas didn’t want to waste a minute of it. Between work, and a baby on the way, it wouldn’t get any easier, either.

  Nick, their other partner, and low man on the totem pole in terms of being the beta slave, stepped in behind Leigh. He slipped his arms around her waist.

  “It’s better for you to learn to back off now,” Nick said. “Once the munchkin arrives, you’re going to be forced to downshift into a lower gear for a while, at least. It’ll be a lot easier listening to us now and learning how to let go of work, rather than waiting until the baby arrives. And listening to us when we tell you to hire an assistant.”

  She scrunched up her face at Lucas. “You realize that I hate it when you’re both right and gang up on me, don’t you?”

  Lucas smiled down at her. “Yes, I know. I am a sadist, if you’ll recall, so it’s all good to me. If I recall correctly, being a sadist to you is one of the things you love about me.”

  “And dang it, you’re right again.”

  “I would think you’d be used to that by now. Why does it always surprise you?”

  “At least it’s a good surprise,” Nick said.

  Yes, they pretty much only had good surprises in their lives now, which was something Leigh felt extremely grateful for. After getting over the initial shock that Nick was really Trevor Nichols, A-list movie star, and letting him mend fences with them after he’d up and left when the paparazzi were hot on his trail, life had been pretty wild indeed over the past year.

  From what felt like a good thing, to her and Lucas hitting the bottom of a very rocky well…to being immediately launched back into the stratosphere emotionally.

  The three of them took great pains in public not to engage in too many shows of PDA while out and about with Nick. The press knew she and Lucas were married, and had started out as Nick’s assistants, but they were also now producers and partners with Nick in his production company and earning press coverage of their own.

  Yes, some of their Hollywood friends suspected a little of the truth about their triad, but not all of it.

  Only their friends here in the Sarasota area, members of the Suncoast Society munch group, knew the full truth.

  That Trevor Nichols, the macho action star, was actually Lucas’ collared bisexual masochistic beta slave, and in a triad with Lucas and Leigh.

  Not two images that complemented each other successfully when measured side-by-side.

  They’d agreed that as Leigh’s delivery date drew nearer she’d spend most of her time in Florida, and both Nick and Lucas would alter their schedules to be in Florida so they could be with her in the delivery room. Lucas was her legal husband, so his name would appear on the baby’s birth certificate. The truth was, Leigh didn’t know which man was the father.

  And she didn’t care to know, either.

  In her heart, they both were her baby’s father.

  “I can’t help it that I’m a workaholic,” she said, turning in Lucas’ arms so her back was pressed against him and she could slip her arms around Nick. “I love what we’re doing.”

  It beat the hell out of being a paralegal and making spare change compared to their current salaries. Lucas had been a high-school science teacher for the county school system before they’d had their lives upended by Nick.

  “We know you love what you’re doing,” Nick said, “but if you wear yourself out now, you’ll have no energy when the baby actually gets here. So hire. An. Assistant.”

  “You two and your devil logic. And why did you guys let Tilly and Leah throw me a baby shower tonight? I don’t need one. We don’t need people buying us stuff. We can afford to buy our own baby stuff.”

  “Because,” Lucas explained in that infuriatingly patient Master voice of his, “trying to pin us down with our schedule is like trying to grab a greased pig that’s hopped up on meth. They’ve all been asking me when they could throw you a baby shower. I figured it was better to do it tonight when the most people could be here. And let’s be honest, your mom and mine will both be wanting to throw you a baby shower. Tilly and the others couldn’t bring their special, kinky flare with them to a vanilla baby shower. Let them have their fun.”

  “I just hope peopl
e paid attention to Ross’ note on the invite and don’t bring gifts.”

  “If they didn’t, you’ll graciously accept them,” Lucas warned her.

  “Maybe we need to make her suck our cocks to shut her brain off again,” Nick suggested.

  “Normally,” Lucas said, “I’d agree with you, except we’ve got guests on their way.”

  “Not like they’d care,” Leigh said.

  “True,” Lucas agreed, “but I don’t want to wear you out. And you know I hate not finishing what I start.”

  That much he’d made clear in their time together.

  She knew it would extend to his declaration that she hire an assistant.

  She’d resigned herself to the fact that she’d have to find and hire somebody. The problem was trying to find someone who was not only competent and someone she could get along well with, but someone who would also tolerate their unorthodox relationship dynamic and keep their mouth shut about it. Confidentiality agreements were only as good as the people who signed the paper they were written on. Leaks happened.

  It was one thing if it was just about the three of them, but they were bringing a child into the world and it was about their baby as well.

  Leigh had decided she wanted to spend as much time as possible in Florida, traveling out to California on business only when she couldn’t handle something via Skype or phone. She needed an assistant who was flexible enough to handle traveling as well.
