It’ll Be Fun
Run a BDSM club, they said. It’ll be fun, they said.
The group of friends and volunteers who keep Venture’s doors open know it’s not all fun and games when it comes to operating a BDSM club.
Because life always has an annoying way of getting in the way of their “fun.”
Whether or not they can maintain their sanity and keep having fun remains to be seen.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Tymber Dalton is the wild-child alter-ego of author Lesli Richardson. She lives in the Tampa Bay region of Florida with her husband (aka “The World’s Best Husband™”) and too many pets. Active in the BDSM lifestyle, the two-time EPIC award winner and part-time Viking shield-maiden loves to shoot skeet and play D&D with her friends. She’s also the bestselling author of over one hundred and fifty books and counting, including The Reluctant Dom, The Denim Dom, Cardinal’s Rule, the Suncoast Society series, the Love Slave for Two series, the Triple Trouble series, the Coffeeshop Coven series, the Good Will Ghost Hunting series, the Drunk Monkeys series, and many more.
She loves to hear from readers! Please feel free to drop by her website and sign up for her newsletter to keep abreast of the latest news, snarkage, and releases. You can also find all of her Siren-BookStrand releases under all four of her pen names on her author page on the BookStrand site.
Honest reviews are always welcomed. They help with a book’s visibility and can boost its placement on book retailer sites. Even a few lines about what you felt reading the book will help. Thank you so much, it’s greatly appreciated!

Author’s Note
This is book 92 in the Suncoast Society series. You do not have to read all the books before this one to understand the plot or characters—most of the books in the series are standalone.
The phrase in question is actually one that we say on a regular basis at the Tampa Bay Phoenix Club—Run a BDSM club, they said. It’ll be fun, they said.
Hey, someone has to take out the garbage and wipe down the tables and make sure the power bill gets paid and do the shopping for soda and wash the throws and towels and…
And…
And…
A club doesn’t run itself, and that’s not something you always see in books. It takes a dedicated team of volunteers to keep things going, because contrary to most fiction, BDSM clubs aren’t exactly money-making ventures. You’re lucky if they break even every month, and they’re more a labor of love and a service to the community than they are a way to get rich.
(Yes, I do this in real life. No, I don’t own it, I’m one of the core volunteers.)
All of the characters in this book appear in and are featured in previous books in the Suncoast Society series.
While most of the books in the Suncoast Society series are standalone works which may be read independently of each other, the recommended reading order to avoid spoilers and to not miss any backstory can be found on the Suncoast Society series page, along with character information and other trivia, on my website at:

Chapter One
Leah stared at Loren. “Okay, Lor, what is your problem?” Their friend had spent the last several minutes of their first November Saturday morning girls’ breakfast uncomfortably shifting and squirming in her seat in their corner booth. “Or do we want to know?”
“I want to know,” Eliza said.
Abbey snorted. “I want to know, too.”
“Me, too,” Cali echoed. “Switches rule.”
Abbey fist-bumped with her.
“Hey, I’m not a switch and I want to know,” June said.
“So do I,” Shayla added. “But I’m just nosy.” She grinned. “Besides, misery loves company, and Sir made me wear a butt plug today. At least he allowed me panties.”
“We didn’t need to know either of those facts,” Abbey joked.
“Oh, puhleese,” June said. “How many of us have never worn a butt plug to one of our breakfasts?”
Eliza raised her hand with a snarky smirk thrown in.
“You don’t count,” June said. “You’re a damn Domme.”
Cali eased her hand up. “Switches rule,” she said again, grinning. “Although I have made the boys wear them to munches before.”
Loren wore a dark glare that probably could have Force-choked a whole platoon of stormtroopers without even giving them asphyxiation orgasms first. “Him,” she muttered as she reached for her coffee cup and took a sip. “That’s my problem.”
“Now what’d Ross do?” Eliza asked.
Loren grabbed her phone from her purse and practically slammed it onto the table. “He has a new toy,” she grumbled, swiping open an app.
They all leaned in. “What is it?” Cali asked.
“Fucker found a fucking Bluetooth fucking vibrating fucking butt plug you can control remotely. Guess what he’s doing right now?”
Abbey grinned. “Ooh, that is fucking evil. Gilo has one of those, but I’m not allowed to use it on him at work.”
“Your fucking SAM is the one who told him about it!” Loren griped.
“Um, you’re welcome?” Abbey’s grin widened.
/> “Oooh.” Eliza spun the phone around to look at the app. “I want one of those for the barbarian.” She took her phone out and snapped a pic of the app.
“Can’t you muzzle Gilo or something?” Loren asked Abbey. “Totally not fair him giving the rest of our guys ideas. He’s fucking dangerous. You fucking switches are just…evil.”
“Hey,” Leah told her, “you know how to say red. You’re the only person I know who has markers and Christmas trees as hard limits. I know you can damn well set limits with him. So don’t pull that pity shit here, honey. You won’t find any sympathetic ears. We’ve alllll been there. Either safeword, or knuckle under.”
“Yeah, but if I safeword for something like this, then he makes that pitiful pouty face, and you know I can’t say no to the fucking sadist when he does that. He plays dirty.”
“Then knuckle under,” Cali said. She took a sip of her coffee. “I don’t know what you want us to tell you.”
Marcia hustled into the restaurant, glanced around, spotted them, and joined them. “Sorry about that. Got caught in traffic.” She pulled up short when she saw Loren’s expression. “Geez, honey, what crawled up your ass and died?”
Loren glared while the rest of the women burst out laughing and Cali did a coffee spit-take across the table.
* * * *
Once they cleaned up Cali’s coffee mess and filled Marcia in on what had, indeed, crawled up Loren’s ass but hadn’t yet had the decency to die so she could at least forget it was there in the first place, Marcia called their informal meeting to order.
“Work meeting, so club’s paying for breakfast.” She opened her tablet and swiped to her notes. “Derrick wants to put down those carpet tile thingies on the new side. We can get a fantastic deal on a remainder batch that’s all close in color, but not exact. So we can mix them around in a random pattern.”
Cali wrinkled her nose. “Isn’t that a bio-hazard?”
“No worse than what’s up Loren’s ass right now,” Eliza snarked with a grin, earning herself a bird from same said friend.
Well experienced with her friends’ attitude, Marcia ignored the aside. “No edge play or medical or wax or fire play in the new side. Including cupping.”
“Talk about a pouty face,” Cali said. “That’ll make Nate go full-on boo-boo lip. He loves fire cupping over there because it’s usually not so crowded.”
“Hmm. That’s true.” Nate was a regular who also taught classes and held demos for the club, free of charge. He was a licensed doctor of Chinese medicine, and therapeutically used acupuncture and fire cupping as part of his regular practice, plus he gave demos on electricity play.
Abbey seemed to consider it. “Can’t we keep a section over in that far corner by the bathrooms free of tiles? I mean, we wouldn’t carpet the bathrooms anyway, because, eww, gross. We can block it off or something, then Nate can still do that there. Double benefit, if we ever have a leak, hopefully all the carpet tiles won’t get wet.”
Marcia noted that on her tablet. “Sold. That’s perfect. He’s usually the only one who does that over there, anyway. We’ll need to put together a volunteer crew to lay the carpet.”
That drew snickers from everyone else except Loren, who sat there glaring.
“You said ‘lay’,” Cali joked.
Marcia continued, undeterred and used to their smart-assery. “Derrick wants to get the order put in this weekend so he can go pick it up Monday. Place is up in Jacksonville. Can we beg Sean and Max to go with?”
“Oooh, road trip!” Cali said. “I think we can arrange that. Just let us know when.” She noted it on her phone. “They have vacation time to burn.”
“Excellent.” Marcia made more notes. “Next item of business, classes…”
By the time their food arrived, they’d worked their way through Marcia’s agenda. She tucked her tablet back into her purse. “Run a BDSM club, they said. It’ll be fun, they said.” She waggled a finger at Leah. “This is your Master’s fault, you know,” she gently added.
They all knew she didn’t mean Seth.
Leah sadly smiled. “Yeah, it is.”
A quiet moment settled over them as they all reflected on Kaden’s absence, as they tended to do when he came up like that. “Does Seth have Halloween put away and Christmas up yet?” Marcia asked to ease the tension.
Leah laughed. “He finished putting away Halloween yesterday, and he brought the first load of Christmas over from storage.”
“Wow, a week after Halloween,” Abbey said. “That’s a record for him, isn’t it?”
Leah nodded. “Pretty much, yeah. He gets faster every year.”
Every year, Leah’s first husband and Master, Kaden, used to put up Christmas lights and yard decorations. In the wake of losing him, Seth and Leah still continued the tradition, although Seth had added Halloween to the mix as a way to make that holiday his.
“That was a great Halloween party,” Abbey added. “Oh, and Gilo and I volunteer as tribute for the Valentine’s Day party,” she teased. “We haven’t hosted one in a while. It’s our turn.”
The private Suncoast Society play parties had a very exclusive invite list and were an offshoot of the Suncoast Society munch group. The private parties were where Kaden had originally put the bug in Derrick’s ear about opening a BDSM club in the first place, and then offered his legal help and expertise in setting up the corporation.
Venture, the BDSM club, had opened and allowed them to reduce their liability by not holding the play parties in private homes any longer. Now, the private party invite lists were made up of a close-knit group of friends. They had newcomers, but usually those people were friends of existing members.
Unlike at the club, the private parties were anything-goes, in terms of sex.
“Oh, did you see that fucking one-star Google review for the club this morning?” Cali asked Marcia.
Marcia arched an eyebrow. “You mean the Einstein who bitched that there were a lot of people and play at the club, but no sex, despite the fact that on the front page of our website it says no sex allowed, the rules page says no sex allowed, the info and FAQ pages say no sex allowed, and when we go over the rules, we tell them no sex allowed?”
“Yeah, that fucker.”
Marcia snorted. “I know it was an asshat who came in last night. He called looking for a ‘titty bar’ and we told him to keep looking. Then he shows up anyway. Before I even had him fill out paperwork, I gave him the opening spiel—no sex, no drugs, no alcohol. And he said fine, he understood. Went through it again with him when I gave him the newbie talk. Then he went inside with Axel, and he left within an hour. He told Axel, ‘I didn’t think you guys really meant no sex. I thought you just said that publicly.’” She snorted. “Fricking dumbass.”
“How do you know it’s him?” Abbey asked.
Marcia took a bite of her eggs. “Idiot used his real name on the review. Derrick’s going to leave a response from one of his sock accounts and get snarky.”
“The stupidity of humans never ceases to amaze me,” June said.
Eliza laughed. “Then you obviously never taught public school like I did. I’m sadly shocked when the general population doesn’t default to stupidity.”
Chapter Two
Marcia watched as, about ten minutes into eating, Loren grabbed her phone and angrily jabbed her finger at the screen before putting it to her ear. “Red, asshole,” she said. “Turn it off, now, or I’m taking it out and flushing it down the goddamned toilet in the bathroom. … Okay, fine. Turn it off, now, Master, or I’m flushing the goddamned thing and adding it to the list with markers and Christmas trees. … Thank you.”
Loren hung up on him and dropped her phone into her purse while everyone else burst out laughing.
“Motherfucker,” she muttered.
Marcia shook her head. “You’re going to pay for that later.”
“Oh, I know I will, but he knows he pushed me too far. Hey, I rarely safeword for shit like this. If he d
oesn’t want to lose his toys, he needs to respect a few boundaries.” She shifted in her seat. “And I’m gonna kill Gilo next time I see him, Ab.”
Abbey laughed. “I’d offer to put him in SAM mode and let you take a few whacks at him, but he’d enjoy it. It’s a lose-lose for you. And he’d probably give Ross more kinky ideas to use on you as payback.”
“Motherfucker!” Loren griped.
“So, hey, any news on Mal?” Shayla asked.
The table fell silent and everyone looked at Leah.
She shrugged. “Seth hasn’t talked to Kel since right before the Halloween party, sorry.”
Loren sat back. “I guess that puts life into perspective,” she said. “I wish we could do something for them. I feel so fucking…helpless.”
After suffering a miscarriage, Mal had developed a life-threatening eating disorder and lost a dangerous amount of weight. They were still struggling to get it under control, and she was being cared for on an inpatient basis at a special facility up in Tampa that treated food disorders. They made a brief appearance at the Halloween party two weeks ago, and everyone had been shocked by her gaunt appearance. Although, according to Kel, she’d actually gained a little weight from when she’d been at her absolute worst.
“I know,” June said. “Believe me, I know from experience that all we can do is what we’re doing—offering to be there for them. Kel will tell us if there’s anything we can do for them.”
“She was so fucking skinny,” Marcia said. “We’re trying not to bug Kel because I know he feels guilty about not helping out more after they went in with us as partners, but damn.”
“Yeah,” Cali quietly said. “Best not to. We don’t want to lose them altogether. We’re one of the few safe places either of them have.”
