  Now Sean was laughing with her, interrupted by a yawn, which she caught.

  “Actually,” she said, “I hate to say this, but I think I’m done being plundered for the night.” She winced as she rolled off Sean. “I have a feeling I need a little more training before we try that twice in one night.”

  She crawled out of bed and opened the bedroom door for Baxter on her way over to the master bath.

  Baxter bolted in, straight for Max’s pillow.

  Max let out a sad sigh.

  When she returned from using the toilet, she said, “Hey, I have an idea.”

  “What?” the men said. Max sat on the edge of the bed, watching Baxter lick himself on his pillow.

  “We still haven’t properly tested what the frame’s like having a guy restrained in it. And I distinctly remember you said you lost rock-paper-scissors.”
