  Gilo snorted. “Sometimes literally.”

  “Yeah, unfortunately.”

  Gilo, Tony, Scrye, and Rusty were actually wearing black leather boots under their suits instead of loafers, and Cali grouped them together for a series of shots. They’d all brought loafers, but she wanted some boot shots, too.

  It was when Cali paired Gilo with Abbey to snap a few poses of him kneeling in front of her, still in his suit, that he was giving thanks he’d worn snug briefs today instead of freeballing it.   Marcia was totally on board with what they were doing today. If for no other reason than the eye-candy of seeing all these already great-looking guys dressed up in suits.

  Normally, Derrick didn’t wear a full suit to work. In fact, she’d dragged her damn Dom, with the man nearly kicking and screaming like a toddler, into a store to buy him a nice suit for today. His old suits didn’t fit him anymore. Since his gall bladder surgery, she’d had him on a diet and he’d lost weight as a result. Now, his wedding/ funeral suit was hanging off him.

  On work days, he wore khakis and button-up shirts, but not suits. Hell, getting a tie on the damn man was a massive chore.

  But as he stared at her right now, with those gorgeous green eyes of his, Marcia felt herself getting more than a little wet.

  Okay, so she’d been wet pretty much from the start of today’s photo shoot, seeing all their friends dressed up in suits.

  Derrick had been interviewed for the newspaper, too, about Venture. It wasn’t like they were super-duper-double-secret-probation in the closet or anything.

  Derrick walked over to stand next to Marcia after Cali changed up the pairings again. “What do you think?” he asked, his voice low.

  “I think we’re going to be inundated with new members when this hits the website,” she said. “Seriously, you all are fucking hot dressed like this.”

  He caught her hand and pulled it onto the front of his slacks, where…

  He smiled down at her. “Lucky for you, I’m not done yet.”

  She grinned. “Lucky for you, you mean, Sir Domly. You’ll get some today instead of having to wait until we’re home later.”

  His smile turned absolutely wicked. “Don’t tease me, baby. I’ll have more energy than I usually do.”

  She draped her arms around his neck and rubbed against him. “Maybe I’m counting on that.”

  Cris snorted. “I think it’s telling that all he had to do was say, ‘I’ll pull a Landry,’ and he could’ve stopped there, and y’all still would’ve known what he meant.”

  Landry nodded. “True story.”

  Yes, Derrick felt aggravated at Marcia, at first, for dragging him to the store for a new suit. He never saw himself as a suit kind of guy, to be honest. It was just getting dressed up to an uncomfortable level.

  That’s why he never forced Marcia into elaborate outfits for the private play parties. No sky-high heels and corsets and latex, unless it was something she wanted to wear.

  Dressing her up like a doll wasn’t fun if she’d be pissy and grouchy and not enjoying herself the whole time.

  Besides, since he usually only wore a suit for a wedding or a funeral, and it felt like he’d attended more of the latter than the former lately, it wasn’t like suits held the best association for him.

  He watched Leah watching Seth, who was currently posing back to back with Landry, both of them with their arms crossed and giving “Domly serious” stares, as Cali told them to look, to the camera.

  The funny thing was, they both kept cracking up, which was cracking everyone else up, too. The harder the two men tried to look serious, the less successful they were being at it. Because all of them damn well knew that kind of “Domly Dom” bullshit was just that—bullshit.

  “Eliza, help, please?” Cali said. “Get in there and give me resting bitch Domme face.”

  “Sure thing.” Eliza stepped in, and not five seconds later, Landry whispered something that had her cracking up, too.

  Derrick glanced over to where Leah now sat next to Essie as she watched the proceedings. She was smiling. Laughing, even.

  It was damn good to see her laughing. He knew from talks with Ed, Tony, and Seth how close they came to losing her following Kaden’s death, despite all his preparations and how carefully he’d warned everyone.

  Since then, Leah had healed in many ways. Healthier and stronger now. She and Seth had truly blossomed together into this next stage of their lives despite how the two of them would always miss and mourn Kaden.

  But Derrick knew his old friend would be happy for them today. To see them both living and enjoying life. That was the reason he’d set things up the way he did, to try to give them the best chance possible once he passed.

  Can’t ask for more than that, I suppose.

  After another five minutes of trying to get serious faces out of the three of them, Cali gave up and swapped them out for Scrye and Axel. At six-seven, Axel was still a couple of inches taller than Scrye, who was huge, like a damn grizzly bear. With Scrye’s full beard and mustache, it just completed the image. They were both taller than Derrick’s own six-one, that was for sure. She added Rusty to the mix, who was about as tall as Scrye, although built a little slimmer, but more muscularly than Axel.

  Somehow, they managed to keep serious expressions long enough for Cali to get the shots. Then she swapped out Abbey and Gilo, but doing a couple of shots with Gilo in Top mode first, before he’d start doing costume changes.

  In front of Derrick, Marcia sighed and pulled his arms even more tightly around her, wiggling her ass against him.

  That wasn’t helping his hard-on, either.

If he hadn’t hooked up with Abbey, and Tilly hadn’t hooked up with Landry—and reunited with Cris—who knows? Maybe the two of them would have ended up together, at some point.

  But when Gilo was in Top mode, Derrick could practically see the energy swirling between Gilo and Abbey. He knew Gilo was the head safety engineer for an electric company or something, a high-pressure, high-responsibility job that weighed heavily on him. Playing Gilo the SAM was just an act, a way to shed those weighty burdens for a little while and get a mental vacation.

  Gilo was normally dominant all the time, if not a Dominant.

  Watching Abbey and Gilo play was always a treat, no matter who was in which mode.

  Chapter Three

  Landry tipped his head toward Cris as they stood and watched Gilo’s and Abbey’s poses. He kept his voice down as he spoke to Cris.

  Cris bowed his head. “Oui, Maître.” He headed over to the kitchen area to get it for Landry.

  It wasn’t uncommon for them to go weeks at a time speaking French instead of English when at home if Tilly and Bob weren’t around. Bob’s French wasn’t adequate yet, but he was slowly and surely improving. Tilly’s French was pretty good, a conversationally fluent level, and KC was learning it. They wanted her to grow up bilingual.

  Before moving in with Tilly, before Landry had discovered her existence, he and Cris frequently spoke English at work and French at home with each other. It was Landry’s default. While he’d gone through great pains when he first moved to the States to try to eliminate as much of his accent as possible when speaking English, it still bled through, just a pinch.

  Tilly had picked it right up when they first met, mostly because Cris was the one who’d taught her French…and, of course, Cris had learned it from him, with his accent.

  The house felt so…empty without the three of them home, since KC was currently with Tilly and Bob. Next week, he and Cris would be flying out to LA to get KC from them, since they were going to be filming on location for a couple of weeks, in a harsh desert, and Tilly really didn’t want KC there for that.

  It was fun to get out and do something different like this.

  Landry smiled down at him and stroked the top of his head with his free hand. “My perfect boy,” he whispered, enjoying the way Cris’ eyes dropped closed.

  His boy might grumble and gripe sometimes, but there was no denying the truth—he liked what they did.

  Hell, as many years as they’d been doing it together, they must be doing something right.

  Even if he did fuck up their perfection the first time around.

  Fortunately, the Universe smiled on him and gave him not only a second chance, but added more perfection to it.

  “That should be on the website header or something,” Marcia said. “That’s, like, perfect. That totally encapsulates what we always tell the newbies—have fun and enjoy what you’re doing. It’s even better with him wearing the half-hood, because you can really see him smiling.”

  Everyone nodded in agreement.

  “You feel like gimping out now?” Cali asked him. “I’ll get some shots of you two together like that, then pup you out for some more with her before tossing Rusty and Sean into the shots with you. That way, Abbey can get off those stilts.”

  Rusty and Sean were currently in the process of helping each other don latex outfits.

  “But they’re hot as fuck,” Leah said, looking at them.

  “To answer your question,” Gilo said, “Yeah, I’ll be happy to get gimped out.” He handed the end of the leash to Abbey and reached back to unfasten his hood’s lacings and pull it off. “Whew! That feels better.” He ran a hand through his hair, which was slightly damp from sweat. “Hood hair?”

  Abbey smiled and ruffled his hair. “Yeah, but I love your hood hair.” She kissed him. “You’re going to put the suit back on before we go to Sigalo’s, right?”

  He waggled his eyebrows. “I dunno. What’s it worth to ya?”
